Meet Our Board Of Directors
Our board of directors are chosen by the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture. They are the custodians of the hub and backbone to the vision and strategy that is implemented by the team. The board gives Downtown Music Hub a wealth of skills and experience across the business world.
Dr. Ezra Ndwandwe
Acting Chairperson
Besides being an Executive chair of his business Dual Point Holdings, Ezra serves on several boards of directors, is an associate of the DaVinci Institute of Business, and serves as a senate member.
Mr. Lindumuzi Mngoma
Board Member
I am presently retired, but I am the Music Programmes Coordinator of the Ionian Music Society which runs the Ionians Strings Ensemble.
Ms Khanyo Maphumulo
Board Member
To date Khanyo has featured on more than 50 local and international albums. During the 1990ʼs she toured South Africa, Europe and the United States with the likes Semenya, Hugh Masekela, Busi Mhlongo and Mango Groove, Juluka, Ringo Madlingozi, as well as international artists.
Dr. Blondie Makhene

First, I am called to respond. My calling stems from arts to entrepreneurship, from community to village. I am a husband, a father, a traditional healer and a music practitioner.
Ms Mpume Mabuza
Chief Executive Officer
Ms Mpume Mabuza is the CEO of Downtown Music Hub (DTMH). Previously she was Marketing Executive for uShaka Marine World and the 2nd Vice-President of the Durban Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
