VACANCY: 1 X SECURITY SUPERVISOR
Downtown Music Hub is urgently looking for a dedicated security supervisor to ensure the safety and security of our premises, assets, staff and visitors. Security Supervisor must be registered with PSIRA – Grade B accredited. Applicants must be a South African citizen able to communicate in English and at least one Vernacular (verbal, read and write).

Key areas of responsibility will include
• Supervise and guide security officers, spot-check the security guards’ performance and handle interruptions and complaints.
• Assist Security Manager in handling incidents, investigations and interviews.
• Adhere and defuse disturbances by company policies, procedure and operating standards.
• Conduct daily physical inspection / safety inspections and emergency response drills.
• Assist management with training and compile security roster.
• Motivate and coach employees to develop and maintain positive working relationship with others.
• Monitor company registers, compile reports daily / weekly reports and maintain confidentiality.
• Monitoring site coverage and proper handover of shift change and equipment.
• Report suspicious activity, criminal behaviour, and security breaches to the
• manager.
• Record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Respond to any emergencies.
Special conditions of employment:
• Minimum Grade 12
• South African citizen
• PSIRA Grade B registered and accredited • At least 3 years’ experience in similar role. • Good communication skills. • Hardworking attitude and good coordination ability • Active and enthusiastic • knowledge of firefighting • Motivated with a strong sense of initiative • Confident and Independent
• English – Read, speak well and be able to write.
