Downtown Music Hub is urgently looking for a dedicated male security officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, assets, staff and visitors. Security Officers must be registered with PSIRA Grade C. Applicants must be a South African citizen able to communicate in English and at least one Vernacular (verbal, read and write).

Key areas of responsibility will include
• Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
• Conduct security checks for specified areas and complete reports on anything they observed while on duty.
• Adhere to all company policy, procedure and operating standards.
• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
• Control visitor, employee building access and monitor contractors.
• Completing relevant registers and compile reports.
• Report suspicious activity, criminal behaviour, and security breaches to the supervisor and/or manager.
• Record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Respond to any emergencies.
Special conditions of employment:
• Minimum Grade 12
• South African citizen
• PSIRA Grade C registered and accredited
• At least 2 years’ experience in the security industry
• No criminal record
• Able to follow instructions accurately.
• Must be physically fit and in good health
• English – Read, speak well and be able to write.
